This 8 year old patient had an open bite of her upper and lower front teeth due to a thumbsucking habit. She also had crossbites of the back teeth.

She was treated as a Phase I Interceptive orthodontic case using an expansion appliance with a tongue crib and some upper and lower front braces. Her treatment lasted about 11 months.
